Bringing goods into Australia from overseas
You must adhere to the country’s import regulations when importing goods into Australia. This includes paying all relevant duties, taxes, and other charges, such as an import processing charge, for goods valued over AUD$1,000. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the fees involved:
- Customs Clearance fee: AUD$165 (inclusive of GST).
- Import Duty: 5% of the declared value of the goods.
- GST: 10% of the total sum of the declared value of the product, freight, insurance, and duty.
- Additional Item Charge: The first five declared items (per HS code) are free. Each additional item will be charged at AUD$5.5 (inclusive of GST).
- Customs Electronic Processing Fee:
- For goods declared between AUD$1,000 and AUD$10,000, a fee of AUD$113 applies.
- For goods declared at AUD$10,000 or more, a fee of AUD$215 is charged.
- Inspection Fee: In the event that a shipment undergoes customs inspection, an Customs Clearance Broker Fee of AUD$125 will be imposed.
Please note that the total declared value of shipments will be cumulated for each batch of shipments with identical recipient information. If the collective value exceeds AUD$1,000, all relevant duties, taxes, and other import charges will be enacted. Accurate declaration of the shipment’s contents is crucial to avoid legal liabilities. If customs inspects and seizes a parcel, the consignee will be held accountable for all costs and legal penalties.
To finalize the Import Declaration, the following documents are necessary:
- Company name and ABN (with a copy of the ABN certificate); if no ABN, the recipient’s name and ID (Passport and Licence) is required.
- Proof of purchase and packing lists.
- Utility bills (e.g., water, electricity, or bank statements).
- Customs clearance authorization document (which we will provide for you to sign).

Option 4: Pallet Sea Freights Delivery Service (Requires Forklift for Unloading)
Shipping Costs (Prices Effective 1st September 1 2022)
- The shipping cost is AU$ 480.00 per cubic meter (m³) based on the shipment volume.
- For each subsequent cubic meter, the cost is AU$ 420.00 per m³.
- The minimum charge is one m³ and rounded to the nearest 0.1m³.
- The calculation of the m³ is done by multiplying the length, width, and height of the shipment in meters.
- If the calculated volume is not a multiple of 0.1m³, it will be rounded up to the nearest 0.1m³.
For example, if the shipment has a 1.06m³, it will be charged as 1.1m³. Therefore, the calculation will be as follows:
- 1.1m³ = (1m³ * AU$480.00) + (0.1m³ * AU$420.00) = AU$528.00

FAQ
You can purchase from Taobao, Pinduoduo, JD or buy from shops and ship your parcels to our China warehouse.
When submitting your shipments, whether you need to self-pickup or local delivery, you must enter your real name (matching your Passport/ID), and your receiving address (matching your water bills, electricity bills, telephone bills, or bank statement). We will submit on your behalf to Customs according to the information you provided. If wrong receiver details are being provided which causes extra customs fees, you will need to be responsible for the charges.
If a parcel addressed to you contains goods or packages for other people (such as your friends or relatives) and the parcel has a declared or assessed value of more than AUD1000, you will need to lodge an Import Declaration. Duty, taxes, and charges, where applicable, are payable for all the goods in that parcel.
Customs law does not permit a parcel to be split or broken down into separate items for assessment, even when the items were imported for other people.

When you submit the parcels for your shipments, the China warehouse will consolidate your parcels into your current bigger boxes for free, this is to minimise risks of small parcels lost in transit. If your current largest box is not big enough, the warehouse will use our specific size carton to fit all your small parcels into the boxes, there will be new carton charges applies. The warehouse will record the size of the shipments based on the final consolidation parcels. If you do not want your parcels to be unpacked by the warehouse for consolidation, please leave a note when submitting your shipments.
You can not randomly declare items in your shipments. All declarations must be filled in English, with specific products name and prices. For example, cooking pans, kettles, you can not declare as kitchen essentials, you will need to declare every single item in your shipments. If Customs are assessing goods, we may request evidence of purchase from you. Incorrectly declare value can result in paying duties, taxes, and charges that occur.
All goods will first arrive at our warehouse in Melbourne at Unit 2 34 Efficient Drive, Truganina 3029 VIC. The pick-up time is from Monday to Friday, 10 am-5 pm, local time in Melbourne.
