  • Billing Weight: The greater value between actual weight and volumetric weight (Length*Width*Height/5000 cm).
  • General Cargo Classification: Daily necessities, personal luggage, furniture, books (excluding banned books), handicrafts, local specialties, auto parts, small appliances (excluding batteries), etc.

Important Notice for Mailing Food and Health Products:
Importing food/health products into Taiwan in large quantities carries certain risks, as there are specific restrictions and regulations for these categories.
  • We recommend keeping each box within 6KG. If a box exceeds 6KG, we can assist with splitting it (additional splitting fees may apply).
  • One declared consignee name is limited to 6KG. If the weight exceeds 6KG, customers will need to provide multiple consignee names (who have completed EZ Way real-name authentication) for customs declaration. If this is not possible, we will help arrange shipments in batches to mitigate risk.
If a parcel is unfortunately seized by customs, the usual procedure is to request its return to Hong Kong, and then re-import it from Hong Kong to Taiwan. (For re-importation to Taiwan, customers should try to provide new consignee names to reduce the risk of re-seizure.)
The cost for returning to Hong Kong and then re-importing to Taiwan is generally RM70/KG.

Other Important Considerations

  • Prohibited items (Refer to the prohibited items list at the bottom of the website)
  • You must truthfully declare the goods being sent (product name, quantity, value). You can fill in the parcel declaration after the seller ships your parcel. The system will automatically match your declaration once the parcel is inbounded. If necessary, we may contact you to request proof of purchase (e.g., invoice or screenshot) as required by customs.
  • Customs declaration for small parcels requires the real name and address of the recipient (individual, not company name). Post offices, PO boxes, locked bags, parcel lockers, or parcel collect locations are not allowed. Please ensure truthful completion and bear responsibility for any customs and federal liabilities arising from incorrect information.
  • Our company is solely responsible for parcel transportation and is not liable for the quantity or damage of goods shipped by the seller within the parcel (e.g., seller sending wrong or fewer items; product color, size, style discrepancies; product defects like loose threads, color fading, or melting during transit). You can select additional services when submitting your parcel to verify product quantity and inspect product quality.
  • Insurance is not mandatory but can be purchased at 5% of the declared value. A product purchase invoice must be provided before purchasing, and insurance must be purchased before shipment.
  • Insurance does not apply to personal or second-hand items, or goods for which a purchase invoice cannot be provided.
  • If no insurance is purchased, in case of loss, compensation will be up to a maximum of RM$300 per waybill (including shipping).
  • If insurance is purchased, in case of loss, the maximum insured amount per waybill is RM$1500. Other forms of damage, deformation, or spoilage are not covered by compensation, only parcel loss.
  • For Ebaoguo’s disclaimer and insurance terms, please refer to the bottom of the article, or view them in the Disclaimer and Insurance section.
  • Ebaoguo will not compensate for goods that are deformed, spoiled, melted, damaged, or leaked due to environmental changes during transportation. Please package your goods properly before shipping.

Measurement Methods for Irregular Parcels

① Standard Parcel Measurement Method:

If the parcel is a standard carton size, volumetric weight is calculated based on the carton’s length, width, and height.

② Curved Parcel Measurement Method:

If the parcel’s flat surface bulges or deforms due to goods compression, it is measured by its longest side.

③ Irregular Parcel Measurement Method:

If the goods’ actual size requires irregular packaging, the volumetric weight is calculated based on the parcel’s longest side.

Frequently Asked Questions

My parcels are arriving at the warehouse gradually. Can I submit them as separate waybills?

Yes, you can, but the billing weights for different waybills are not cumulative.

What if the inbound dimensions and weight are different from what the seller stated?

Ebaoguo Malaysia warehouse measures and weighs each parcel upon inbound. All measurements are based on our warehouse’s readings. If you have any discrepancies, please contact customer service before shipping.

I need to return goods. Can you refuse to accept them?

The warehouse cannot determine which parcels need to be returned upon receipt. Please submit the return address after your parcel has been inbounded, and the warehouse will arrange the return shipment. If needed, you can also arrange local logistics to pick up the goods from the warehouse after submission.

Can you help me consolidate packages?

When you submit multiple parcels, the warehouse will do its best to consolidate smaller parcels into your larger box to ensure items are not lost during transit and to reduce volumetric weight. There are no additional fees for consolidation itself; however, if a new box is required, there will be an additional box fee. The dimensions after consolidation may differ from those submitted. The system will use the consolidated volumetric weight as the reference for calculating shipping costs. If you do not wish for certain express parcels to be consolidated, please make a note in the waybill remarks.

I bought many items. Can I fill out a general description?

When submitting your waybill, you need to truthfully declare the products purchased. For similar items, such as clothing, you can generally state “clothing” and fill in the true purchase price. Customs may randomly inspect waybills and request proof of purchase (e.g., invoices or screenshots). You will be responsible for any customs fees incurred due to incorrect information.

Can I pay cash on delivery?

We require you to complete payment before shipment.

Guidelines for Size and Weight of a Single Parcel

Please see the example below for guidance on measuring regular and irregular-shaped parcels, as well as satchels.

Chargeable Weight

Because air transportation is charged based on not only the actual weight of the package but also the size of the package, which is also known as the volumetric weight.

a. The chargeable weight is greater than each package’s actual weight and volumetric weight. For example, if the actual weight of a package is 3.1kg and the volumetric weight is 2.1kg, then the chargeable weight of this package is 3.1kg, which is rounded up to 3.5kg by 500g. b. The chargeable weight of a waybill is the sum of the chargeable weight of each package in the waybill. c. The volumetric weight calculation method for international logistics is length(cm) x width(cm) x height(cm) / 5000. The minimum weight of a shipping line is 1kg. If it is less than 1kg, it is calculated as 1kg. For weights less than 10kg, the chargeable weight is rounded up by 500g; for weights over 10kg, the chargeable weight is rounded up by 1kg. For example, a package with a chargeable weight of 1.3kg will be calculated as 1.5kg, and a package with a chargeable weight of 10.2kg will be calculated as 11kg.

If the actual weight is less than 2kg and the volumetric weight is not more than 5kg, only the actual weight is rounded up by 500g. For example, a package with an actual weight of 1.3kg will be rounded up to 1.5kg.

For example, Mr.X must send two packages to the same recipient.

Package 1 weighs 4kg, and the volumetric weight is 36(cm) x 35(cm) x 30(cm) / 5000 = 7.56. So the chargeable weight of package 1 will be calculated as 8kg.

Package 2 weighs 10kg, and the volumetric weight is 36(cm) x 35(cm) x 30(cm) / 5000 = 7.56. So the chargeable weight of package 2 will be calculated as 10kg.

Therefore, the chargeable weight of Mr.X’s waybill is 8kg + 10kg = 18kg.

We offer a consolidation service.

Once the service has been selected,  we will try to put all your individual packages into one box to reduce the freight costs.

Dimension Weight vs Actual Weight

What is Actual weight?

The actual weight of a parcel is its actual gross weight measured in kg/s when you put on the scale.

What is Dimension weight?

Dimension weight(aka: Volumetric weight) is the ‘volume’ a package occupies (example; the physical size of a package)

Dimension weight is calculated by the ( Length x Height x Width / 5000).

To determine a parcel’s dimension weight in kg, we use measurements in centimeters.

What is Chargeable weight?

Chargeable weight is the actual gross weight or the volumetric weight of the parcels shipment – whichever is greater.
