From Taobao’s perspective, you’re delivering to a perfectly normal Chinese address, so the order goes through without any resistance. The warehouse then consolidates your parcels and sends them on to your actual address abroad.<\/p>\n\n

The process works like this: you sign up with a parcel forwarding service that operates a physical warehouse in China, typically in logistics hubs like Guangzhou, Yiwu, or Shanghai. They give you a unique warehouse address that includes a personal identifier \u2014 usually a customer ID number \u2014 so your parcels are matched to your account when they arrive. You enter that address as the shipping destination in Taobao checkout. The seller ships domestically, the parcel lands in the warehouse, and you get a notification with photos confirming it arrived safely.<\/p>\n\n

At that point, you choose when and where to forward. If you’re buying from multiple Taobao sellers \u2014 as most people are \u2014 the warehouse holds everything until you’re ready, then combines all your items into one outbound shipment.
